Voor mijn artikel deze week deel ik met jullie een gedicht dat ik kort geleden heb geschreven. De zomer komt al met grote sprongen dichterbij, maar in dit gedicht schrijf ik over de lente 🙂
A love letter to spring
And when you lift the shrouds
Dandelion season rises again, crowns and birds we found in the park
Clouds dangling, seizing sunrises, pen down the words that drowned in the dark
Another spring, another year, you’re alive
A long road to your future
But if you wait, you’ll arrive
—
If you wait just one more year
You’ll see them claw through dirt once more
And if you wait another year, you might as well wait more
And if you wait for time to pass
In this game without a score
You might just find what you’re looking for
—
I don’t say love, I won’t say love, I just don’t know the word
But when we talk about the summer, when secrets go unheard
I’m happy to remember my remaining time on earth
